This was the first solo gig I ever did. I never wanted to play by myself but Sugar Jon had moved to Canvastown and I got asked to play. There was a bit of a solo act boom in Dunedin at the time. I thought I would do it the once with a Hasil Adkins set up.

The night after the gig I got paid $100 to D.J. at a dance party for teenagers in Oamaru. I used the money to make the 8 inch's which were out about a week later.

makes me feel better than most other people..like am special & exceptional & I gotta be smarter too grasping the true meaning of hard to listen stuff..this being said, some of the here presented sonix are rather rad. still feeling a wee bitter. for having asked their late drummer for a few classes, offering currency at then rates, he gave me this "you ain't worthy of my etheral inspiration"-rebuke.to most sticks&skinners I know, drumming workshops deal with muscle memory,go figure! dodomonster
